Film +TECHNOLOGY – 7 July 2010
The Olswang Film Debate 2010:
"This house believes that technology will be the driving force behind quality and growth in film."
What will technological developments mean for the film industry? Will they have a positive or negative impact on quality and growth? How will business models be affected? Listen to our teams of experts debate these questions in detail, and have your say during our interactive debate.
We are delighted that this event will be chaired by Mathew Horsman, and our distinguished speakers will include, among others, David Kosse, President, Universal Pictures International; Lesley Mackenzie, On-Demand General Manager, LoveFilm and Cameron McCracken, Managing Director, Pathé UK.
Numbers are limited for this event and it is currently open only to senior executives who have received a specific invitation; if you have not received an invitation but would like to attend, please email Victoria.Boon@olswang.com to express your interest.

Screen +TECHNOLOGY – September 2010
The available functionality on each of the “three screens” - TV, computer and mobile device - is converging at a faster rate than ever before. As network connectivity becomes an increasingly ubiquitous feature of these devices, we explore the opportunities and challenges for hardware manufacturers, developers of enabling technologies, content owners and distributors. Building on some of the key findings from our recent Convergence Survey, we explore whether “connected” devices with integrated screens will create new distribution platforms to disrupt the businesses of the established aggregators and gatekeepers.
