Elle is a Legal Director in the Media, Communications and Technology Group

Elle specialises in commercial and regulatory work, notably with a technology focus.

On the commercial side, Elle has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements with a technology component whether they are major projects or day to day arrangements, including outsourcing, procurement, software and systems licensing and development agreements.

On the regulatory side, Elle regularly advises on a whole range of issues affecting technology, media and other industries. Elle has expertise in consumer compliance including terms and conditions, consumer credit and financial services regulation, online content regulation and monitoring, advertising and marketing, online-contracting, co-ordination with regulatory authorities and the police and electronic signatures. She is also an expert in electrical and electronic equipment regulations and data protection.

Elle advises those in the IT, media, E-commerce and financial services sectors from large corporations to new tech start ups and entrepreneurs.

Elle is author of the third edition of Gringras: The Laws of the Internet which was published in February 2008 and is a key legal text book covering laws relevant to ecommerce including copyright, online contracting, data protection and content related issues.
