Stephen acts on behalf of a broad range of clients in connection with their real estate requirements. He has particular expertise in advising institutional investors and funds, including UBS, InfraRed Capital Partners, Capital & Regional and the clients of F&C REIT on the acquisition, disposal and management of their commercial property portfolios.

He is also experienced in advising corporate occupiers, including the companies within the Creston Group and a leading serviced office provider, in connection with the acquisition and disposal of high value office, industrial and retail/leisure premises and dealing with the real estate aspects of corporate transactions.

Stephen has been described as having a "pragmatic" approach and regularly provides strategic advice and creative solutions to assist clients, particularly in the early stages of commercial negotiations.

Educated at the University of the West of England, Bristol and the College of Law in Chester, Stephen qualified in the UK in 2003. He joined Olswang in 2010.

Particular recent highlights include:

- acting on behalf of Grass Valley, an international media and technology company,  in connection with the acquisition of new EMEA HQ offices;

- advising Tune Hotels, a growing international hotel chain, in connection with the real estate aspects of the acquisition and development of hotel sites in the UK;

 - representing a restaurateur in connection with the acquisition of new leasehold premises at Westfield Stratford City for a new concept restaurant; and

- advising Hanson Asset Management and its overseas client in relation to the real estate aspects of the purchase and proposed redevelopment of a Ramada Encore Hotel in West London.
