Kate advises a variety of high profile clients in relation to a wide range of their (largely non-contentious) construction issues.

Kate's passion is in development work. She has acted for a number of developers, being involved in developments from the outset (assisting with the tender process and advising on procurement structure) through to drafting and negotiating construction documentation, dealing with legal issues on site during the construction process and assisting with any concerns relating to the process of reaching practical completion when several parties have differing priorities.

Kate has also acted for a number of high street lenders and other lenders in relation to the construction aspects of development finance deals. This has involved providing input into construction documentation, reporting on and providing advice relating to the construction aspects of any security documentation. She has also advised banks who are restructuring 'distressed' projects including where parties are subject to insolvency proceedings or are in financial difficulty or delay.

Kate also regularly advises on the construction aspects of real estate transactions including disposals, acquisitions and refinancing.

Kate graduated from Durham University in 2002 and spent two years working for Barclays Corporate before becoming a solicitor. Having had experience of working 'client-side', this has assisted her in being able to take sensible and commercial approach to her negotiations.

Her clients include Legal & General, Regus, Aberdeen, UBS, Heron and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
