Jonathan is based in Singapore and heads up the Arbitration & Dispute Resolution practice at Olswang Asia LLP.
He advises and acts for clients in Singapore, Asia, Europe and the United States on a broad range of commercial disputes. As an experienced arbitration practitioner, Jonathan has advised and represented clients in arbitrations conducted under most of the major institutional rules, including the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Rules, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Rules, the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Rules and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Rules. Jonathan also regularly blogs on current issues relating to arbitration at http://singaporeinternationalarbitration.com/.
Jonathan specialises in providing practical and strategic advice to clients in complex and high-value commercial, construction, projects and infrastructure, technology and insurance (non-marine) based disputes. He has successfully represented MNCs, banks, international contractors, telecoms operators, insurers, brokers and consultants on a variety of disputes.
Jonathan is a Director and Hon. Secretary of the Singapore Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a member of several other professional institutions, including the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Building. He regularly speaks at conferences, events and in-house client seminars on current topics relating to dispute resolution, arbitration and non-marine insurance.
Jonathan is a past recipient of the Law Society of Singapore's Advocacy Prize.
