Georg is a recognized specialist in tax litigation, VAT and other indirect taxes. He represents national and international financial institutions, major media and entertainment companies, private equity and venture capital funds.
Georg has studied in Munich. Before he joined Olswang, Georg was a partner in the Tax Group at Linklaters for more than 15 years. The leading legal publishing house JUVE recommends Georg as an "excellent lawyer". He regularly publishes articles on finance and tax topics within the real estate, media and public infrastructure sectors. In addition he holds lectures and moderates debates on tax related issues.
Georg von Wallis is known for his work in media-related tax law. He focuses on film financing and distribution, also advising on transactions and litigating in tax disputes. He was part of the team acting for All3Media on the establishment of a joint venture to allow access across Germany to BBC Worldwide's content library.
