Christiane is an Of Counsel in the Finance Group and the Restructuring & Insolvency Group. She advises clients primarily on restructuring and insolvency issues. Furthermore, she has extensive experience in the restructuring of real estate financings as well as in the revitalisation of commercial properties.

Christiane has been active for more than 16 years in the areas of restructuring and insolvency. She provides her clients with both legal and strategic advice in relation to all matters arising prior to as well as during an insolvency. Christiane has a particular expertise regarding the enforcement of and the defence against avoidance claims. Furthermore, she specialises in the revitalisation of commercial properties including shopping centres and the negotiation of complex leases. 

Christiane has worked for well known insolvency administrators. Before joining Olswang, she worked for a large European real estate bank being responsible for the restructuring of distressed loans at the intensive care department. Due to her long standing working experience at the interface of commercial and legal, Christiane understands the needs of clients and can provide them with legal advice that is tailored to commercial requirements.   

Christiane studied law in Münster after her traineeship at a German bank. Before joining Olswang in May 2012 she worked nine years for several insolvency administrators acting nationwide (Dr. Kübler/ Dr. Junker) and more than seven years for the Intensive Care Department, Asset Based, at Eurohypo AG (Commerzbank AG) in Berlin.
