Olswang advises At The Races on the establishment of GBI Racing

Olswang LLP has acted for longstanding client At The Races ("ATR") on its joint venture with Racing UK ("RUK") to establish GBI Racing which will distribute British and Irish horseracing internationally. ATR and RUK have each licensed certain international rights to GBI Racing which will operate a new, unified service aimed at retail-based wagering operators around the world. GBI Racing will aim to maximise the revenue opportunities for British and Irish racing in important pari-mutuel markets such as Italy, France, South Africa, Turkey and Australia as well as further developing opportunities in less mature markets overseas. The deal is significant because it marks the first time that these two long-standing competitors have worked together.
