Olswang celebrates in-house outsourcing professionals with new NOAA category

Olswang, Europe's leading technology, media and telecoms law firm today announces its sponsorship of a new National Outsourcing Association Award (NOAA) category, 'In-house Outsourcing Professional of the Year'.

Now in their 9th year, the NOAAs 2012 are set to be the biggest awards event yet, with five new categories up for grabs: Outsourcing Rising Star, Shared Services Centre of the Year, Skills Development Programme of the Year, Outsourcing Works Award for Best Delivery of Business Value and In-house Outsourcing Professional of the Year, sponsored by Olswang.

In-house Outsourcing Professional of the Year is a new category that has been developed to recognise individuals that play an instrumental role working in-house on outsourcing projects. This category is open to all in-house professionals (both suppliers and customer side); including buyers of technology services, procurement professionals, in-house lawyers, heads of outsourcing, supplier deal analysts, etc.

Dominic Dryden, Olswang Partner in the Outsourcing and Technology teams comments: "We have a long standing relationship with the NOA and when we approached them with the idea of creating an award category to recognize the role and contribution of in-house outsourcing professionals, they immediately recognized its significance."

Matt Bennett, Olswang Partner in the Outsourcing team says: "As the UK Outsourcing industry has matured and become more complex we have seen the growth of specialist In-house outsourcing professionals, first within Suppliers, but now across large Outsourcing customers. These teams are often the driving force behind turning an outsourcing strategy into reality. Having worked in-house I always believed these individuals were an important part of the industry, now in private practice, and dealing with numerous outsourcing Customers and Suppliers, I know the critical role they play for the industry. This award will recognise their hard work, dedication and more importantly the talent within this group of advisors"

Closing date for entries is Friday 27th July 2012, when the NOA's panel of outsourcing experts will commence the judging process. For category and entry details download the entry pack at www.noa.co.uk . The shortlist will be announced in September.

Olswang has been named Outsourcing Adviser of the Year and shortlisted as Outsourcing Advisor of the Year at the European Outsourcing Association Awards 2011.
