Olswang Germany becomes the first law firm to receive the prestigious “immobilienmanager.AWARD 2012”

International business law firm Olswang has been honored with the "immobilienmanager.AWARD 2012" in the category of "sharing networks and know how" becoming the first law firm ever to receive the award, immobilienmanager is Germany's most prestigious real estate magazine.

Olswang received this award thanks to the sector leading support given to international client Dundee International REIT, this was Germany's largest real estate deal in 2011. This was one of four transactions within the top 20 German real estate deals of 2011 for which Olswang provided advice.  Together, Olswang's top four transactions totaled EUR 1.38 billion.

Four business-leading transactions in one year

One out of every five leading real estate transactions in 2011 passed through Olswang Germany's doors.  Our real estate experts have worked with some of the largest investors into German real estate in sector changing deals that have significantly affected the country's real estate market. The largest transaction in the German real estate investment market was the EUR 740 million investment of Dundee International REIT into a portfolio of 292 Deutsche Post properties. With this deal, Olswang paved the way for Canadian REIT to make its entrance into the European market. The firm's transaction volume from its top four real estate deals transactions totaled EUR 1.38 billion.

Three awards in one year

The "immobilienmanager.AWARD 2012" is Olswang's third real estate award in a single year. In November 2011, Olswang was selected as "Real Estate Law Firm of the Year" by the industry publication JUVE. In June 2011, Olswang was given the title "Real Estate Law Firm of the Year, Germany" by the magazine Finance Monthly.
