Olswang announces five partner promotions to its international network

International law firm Olswang proudly welcomes Louis Glass, Ashley Hurst, Florian Roesch, Henning Sieber, and Rob Willis to the partnership.  The partners are drawn from a variety of sectors and international markets. Their appointments will take effect on 1 May 2012.

Now in its 31st year, Olswang's 700 strong team includes more than 100 partners across eight international offices. As well as further strengthening core groups such as Real Estate, Corporate and Litigation, this year's appointments have a distinctive TMT focus where Olswang continues to build its reputation as a leading international practice.

As one of Europe's fastest growing TMT law firms, Olswang recently reported one of the highest billed revenue increases in the City with a 25% rise in its mid-year financial results. The firm also recently added new Employment and IP Litigation teams to its Munich and Berlin offices, further strengthening its offering in the German market.

Louis Glass and Rob Willis, both based in the London office, will continue within the Corporate Group advising on multinational and cross-border corporate and commercial transactions in a variety of countries and industries. Louis joined the firm in 2010 with particular experience advising companies in the technology, telecoms and ecommerce space. He is also a co-leader of the firm's Israel Group. Rob joined in 2005 and has built a strong practice within the TMT sector with experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, fundraisings and equity capital market transactions.

Promoted to Partner in the Firm's highly regarded Commercial Litigation team, Ashley Hurst joined Olswang in 2005 and has paved the way on issues around the internet acting for clients in the media sector with a particular focus on digital media.

Florian Roesch and Henning Sieber will cement Olswang's leading position in the German real estate sector. Based in Berlin, Florian and Henning both joined in 2009 and were instrumental in building the award-winning practice throughout Germany. Their practice will focus on Real Estate M&A, Development and Investment Funds.
