Olswang advises Global Radio on acquisition of Atlantic Broadcasting

Olswang - Europe's leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) firm - has advised Global Radio, the UK's largest commercial radio group, on a key strategic acquisition.

Global Radio last week completed the acquisition of Atlantic Broadcasting, the owner of Cornwall based radio station Atlantic FM.

The transaction extends Global's coverage of its Heart radio station network into a new area of South West England, and is another integral step towards the extension of the Heart brand across the UK. According to recent Radio Joint Audience Research (RAJAR) figures, Heart now reaches 7.3 million people every week.

Commenting on the transaction, Corporate Partner Mark Bertram said:
