Olswang has experienced rapid growth since its beginnings in 1981. By 1991 we had 10 partners, by 2002 we had 50 and in 2011 we have a team of over 650, including 100 partners across six offices in London, Berlin, Brussels, Madrid, Paris and the Thames Valley.

2009
  • In common with other professional service firms, Olswang converted to a limited liability partnership status under English law with effect from 1 May 2009.
  • Olswang is awarded TMT Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards for the second year running.
2008
  • Olswang is awarded M&A Law Firm of the Year at the M&A Awards 2008, Corporate Team of the Year - Mid Markets at The Lawyer Awards 2008 and TMT Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2008.
  • Olswang celebrates the promotion of 10 new partners to the Firm, the highest number ever made up collectively. Appointments take effect from 1 May 2008 when the Firm grows to a partnership of more than 100 partners.
2007
  • Mark Devereux, Kevin Munslow and David Stewart become Olswang's Senior Partner, Chief Executive and Managing Partner respectively.
  • Olswang opens an office in Berlin, expanding the Firm's real estate and corporate groups to 17 and 27 partners respectively.
  • Olswang celebrates successful fundraising efforts for Fairbridge, raising over £300,000 through firm wide and individual challenges and events.
2006
  • Olswang acquires real estate firm Kanter Jules, augmenting the real estate, corporate and litigation practices.
  • Olswang celebrates its Silver Jubilee and pledges to raise £250,000 over the course of the year for Fairbridge, a charity working with young people to give them the motivation, confidence and skills they need to change their own lives.
2005
  • Olswang forms a strategic alliance with US firm Greenberg Traurig LLP to extend its international reach and expertise.
  • Olswang acquires Julian Holy Solicitors, a niche practice specialising in commercial real estate, development and lettings.
  • Olswang adopts new environmental policies to work towards becoming a green law firm, ensuring major reductions in energy and paper use and significant increases in recycling
2003
  • Olswang acquires the real estate and MCT practices of DJ Freeman.
2002
  • Olswang consolidates its offices and moves into new premises at 90 High Holborn.
  • Olswang acquires the Thames Valley office of Garretts.
  • Olswang reaches 50 partners.

  • Olswang opens an office in Brussels.

  • Olswang appoints Jonathan Goldstein as CEO, Mark Devereux as Senior Partner and Kevin Munslow as COO.
