The original "convergence" firm, Olswang has since 1995
been exploring how the reduction of all types of media to binary
code would lead - and has now led - to content no longer being
delivered by specific networks to specific devices, but in a
content-neutral way.
We combine our expertise in film, music, TV, games, publishing and advertising and marketing
along with our expertise in technology and social media to
provide clients with a perspective that draws from the successes
and failures experienced in each of these sectors as they have
sought to re-invent their businesses for the digital age.
Our commercial lawyers shape the deals and the consumer
relationships which digital media businesses build with their
customers, with advertisers and with suppliers (technology and
other).
Our corporate lawyers advise on investments into digital media
businesses, both by financial investors and strategic industry
partners - acting for both investor and investee companies, as well
as M&A and consolidation activity. In these deals, the
corporate lawyers are supported by tax and other expert
lawyers.
Our litigators also deal with the full range of disputes in the
sector.
