Our Madrid team fulfils all the strategic requirements to act as a "gateway to South America". Our experience, our geographical situation and our lawyers´ native language allows us to efficiently help companies wishing to invest or to carry out business in that part of the world.
We have experience in assisting our multinational clients in acquisitions and sales processes in several Latin-American countries. Our work takes place from the initial stage of the process, consisting in the Due Diligence exercise, to the drafting, negotiation and execution of the relevant contractual agreements. For these purposes we deal with local top law firms, coordinating all their work and acting as a "sole firm" vis-à-vis the client. Our experience in this area comprises advice to clients in a wide range of sectors, particularly in Technology and Life Sciences.
In addition, our Construction, Infrastructure and Project Finance team, has been advising many projects in different Latin-American countries helping some of the most relevant Spanish companies to develop them: in Mexico (a light urban railway in Guanajuato), in Costa Rica (three Toll Roads, in the preliminary steps of the procurement and later in sophisticated transactions with the sponsor), in Chile (Toll Roads and Highway projects in different areas; we also advise the secondary market transactions and the lending restructuring process), and in Panama Canal and other projects in Panama area. Now we are currently involved in some new projects in Peru and Uruguay. We are also advising Spanish companies in Brasil and Colombia in projects that will develop in the next couple of years.
